  • NATIONAL CADETS CORPS
  • Govt. Degree College, Kamalpur has started the NCC in the year-2014 under 13 Tripura Bn. NCC. The NCC Unit of our college has a total of 100 cadets of which 88 cadets are Senior Division (SD)and 12 cadets are girls cadets (SW). The college is constantly encouraging the students to engage in NCC activity and appreciate the cadets for shining and bring glory for the college. The college is always flexible in regard to attendance for those cadets who are selected for national or state level camps.

     

      The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development Program. It has enormous potential for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline and moral values so that they become able leaders and good citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on social services, discipline and adventure training. NCC is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New DelhiDelhiIndia. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The NCC is open to all regular students of schools and colleges on a voluntary basis.

    The motto of NCC is 'Unity & Discipline' which was adopted on 23 Dec 1957.

  • AIM OFNCC

    1. NCC aims to develop good qualities like good character, discipline, patriotism, secularism, selfless service, courage, comradeship, hard work attitude, sportsman spirit, adventure etc. among Indian youth to mould them into useful citizen.
     
    2. It also aims to create a resource of human youth who are competent to take responsibilities in various walks of life.

    3. It also aims to create a pool of human youth to absorb into Indian armed forces like Army, Navy, Air force and other paramilitary forces.

  • NCC ACTIVITIES IN THE COLLEGE

    The cadets of NCC Unit of the Govt. Degree College, Kamalpur provide valuable voluntary services in many social activities.  They involve themselves actively in providing voluntary services like in natural calamities. The cadets also perform other social duties like controlling the traffic points of kamalpur area during various festivals, books fare, Independence Day, Republic Day, Netaji’s birthday and other social activities. They also provide service of assistance in Programmes like blood donation camp and tree plantation. NCC cadets play an important role as far as security and discipline is concerned in each and every programme of the college such as election of students’ union council, Nabin Baran, Swarasawati puja etc. Apart from the routine NCC activities, the cadets are also involved in different extension activities and community services. College NCC unit organizes and participates in different extension activities such as Republic Day Parade, Anti Dowry Rally, Anti-Drug Rally, NCC Day Celebration, Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, AIDS awareness rally, Disaster Managements-Earth Quake Demonstration as a helping troop, National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Rally, Participate in International Women’s Day seminar etc.
