Welcome to GDC Kamalpur

With a view to introduce higher education and to bolster the job opportunities among the downtrodden sections of the society in the remotest Dhalai District, Government Degree College, Kamalpur, was established in 1987, directly patronized by the Government of Tripura.

Vision and Mission

The vision of the college is to provide quality education in tune with the national higher education policy to the students through supportive healthy, promising learning environment.

Principal's Message

Stationed atop a hillock, enveloped by mesmerizing Longtharai and overlooking the beautiful Dhalai River, Government Degree College, Kamalpur was established in 1987 with a primary objective to open up the door to higher education in the Dhalai district for the youth especially to those of the rural areas to whom it had so far been a distant dream.

Affiliation, Recognition and Accreditation

Government Degree College, Kamalpur is affiliated to Tripura University (A Central University) as undergraduate General Degree College. The UGC recognized this college under 2f & 12B category. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited with Grade B in 2017.

Alumni Association

The College has Alumni Association since the silver jubilee celebration year 2012; the registration is under process. The members of this association actively participated in silver jubilee celebration. After that occasion the association try to organize various programme time to time.
